Developing Areas

Youth Unlimited staff and volunteers are constantly seeking to expand their work into new undeveloped areas of the GTA. By carefully watching and listening, programs are designed to meet the unique needs of the youth that live in the area. Currently staff are developing programs in the Downtown Core (the Pape Youth Centre), Peel Region (Brampton Ministries & Young Moms), and York Region (Stouffville School Outreach & Elements Cafe) and city wide (Ginseng Media).

Pape Youth Centre

Pape Youth Centre ministers to the youth and families of Toronto’s Pape and Danforth Community. Working in association with Calvary Church, it offers a Friday after-school program for those ages 11-14, tutoring at a local junior high school two days per week, a mom’s ministry, and Thursday night basketball for those ages 15-17.

Ginseng Media

Ginseng Media is an online media outlet that specializes in podcasts,
articles, videos, resources and live performances that are thought-provoking
and that clearly present the Gospel. The ministry is comprised to two key
brands.

Bamboo District: Discussing East Asian Entertainment, from a Christian
perspective. Targeted to non-believers.

Regen+Nation: A platform geared towards challenging, inspiring and
equipping young growing Christians.

Stouffville School Outreach

Stouffville School Outreach, in conjunction with the school’s Guidance Department, provides one-on-one support, counseling and small group work. As well, the growing problem of girl bullying in schools is addressed through classes at a senior public school, workshops for parents and group counseling.
